We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant who will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks including GL reconciliations, inventory analysis, accounting interim and year-end close, and financial reporting while ensuring accurate records are maintained. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to multi-task is a must. The candidate will be strategic, proactive, resourceful, and be able to build strong relationships within the finance department and cross-functionally.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Enter monthly activity into QuickBooks including reconciliation of GL accounts.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of inventory accounting; standard costing, transfers/eliminations, reserve calculations across multiple warehouses and product lines
  • Work with Production to ensure Bills of Materials (BOM) are accurate and up to date.
  • Be responsible for scoping, coordination and monitoring of physical inventories; finished goods, work in process, raw materials, parts and supplies.
  • Conduct inventory analysis, including researching and explaining fluctuations
  • Analyze data for costing and determine the proper treatment across all product lines
  • Prepare account reconciliations and month-end cost accounting close
  • Prepare and maintain monthly accruals and allocations across multiple product lines.
  • Evaluate and recommend new approaches and procedures that result in process improvements and efficiencies
  • Maintain company inventory accounting procedures and processes
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure inventory policies and procedures are consistently being followed
  • Ensure compliance with all internal processes
  • Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis

You are a good fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
  • Prior experience with inventory accounting and reporting concepts in a manufacturing environment and supply chain knowledge is a plus
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets knowledge including pivot tables and vlookup functions
  • Must be a self-starter and a quick learner who can work independently and as a part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Previous experience with QuickBooks, Cin7 Core (previously known as DEAR), and Asana are a plus
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize workload
  • Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, to individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong understanding of financial and operational controls
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Adherence to tight deadlines with a timely turnaround for accounting deliverables
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks
