Hasura is hiring Support Engineers who can help our customers/community be productive with Hasura, and achieve their desired objectives by helping resolve their queries/issues related to Hasura features and usage patterns. You will work with our users across different product categories (Open Source, Cloud and Enterprise) to address questions in a ticketing system, and Github discussions forum to provide responsive and quality support. Internally, you will act as the voice of the user within the company, and liaise with the product and documentation teams to surface necessary changes.
What the role will involve:
Use your expertise in Hasura and backend development knowledge to answer questions, troubleshoot problems, and provide deep technical solutions to our users over email/ticketing systems, Github and Discord. Coordinate with the support operations team to meet internal/external support SLAs. Work with the Product team to improve overall Product UX for better developer experience. Work with the Documentation team to ensure our docs address common questions and use-cases. A lot of fun problem solving and building side projects with Hasura!
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a Support Engineering role
- Ability to work US Pacific time hours. Will be required to take part in a rotation schedule for PagerDuty.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Very good written & spoken communication skills in English.
- Prior experience in a technical support role, solving cases using a ticketing system
- Solid understanding of the modern web application stack.
- Strong interest in working in a high growth, fast-paced and dynamic startup environment
- Genuine empathy about solving real-world customer problems and building happy and successful customer relationships
- Strong experience in the following technologies:
- Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle)
- REST APIs
- Linux, the terminal and other command line tools
- Containerization (Docker and Kubernetes)
- Scripting languages (Python, shell or Rust)
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure or GCP)
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with GraphQL
- APM solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic or Dynatrace)
- Prior experience in a developer tools company.
- Experience with a backend language/framework like Java/Spring boot, Javascript/Node.JS
- Backend or Fullstack engineering experience
- CI/CD technologies (Github Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI or Terraform)
Location:
India (Remote/Bangalore): we have an office in Bangalore, and if you're based in Bangalore, you can choose to work out of our office.
