This role is a hybrid role based out of our Somerville, MA office.

About You:

  • You love a good challenge and learning new things.
  • You have gotten disparate systems working robustly together.
  • You have delivered complex data engineering solutions.
  • You’re able to own a core part of the product and juggle the different requirements that come along with it.
  • You are comfortable moving around a large technology stack to understand how those features work and contribute to different parts of the platform.

What skills do I need?

  • 4+ years of experience as a fullstack or backend engineer, with experience working on data pipelines
  • Proficient in Python for analytical computing
  • Highly proficient in SQL distributed data processing pipelines (Spark, Glue, Airflow)
  • Experience building and maintaining a data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift)
  • Works well as a part of a team, with effective communication
  • You can pick up new languages/frameworks with ease. We currently run Python and Typescript services hosted on AWS Kubernetes clusters.
  • You can communicate as well as you can code. You understand the value of discussion and work best in a team that champions clear and frequent communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
  • Develop and maintain the data warehouse.
  • Test and deploy programs and systems
  • Integrate software components and third-party libraries
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
  • Recommend and execute improvements
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
