About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, although not required.
  • Experience working with Netsuite preferred, although not required.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience.
  • Public accounting experience preferred, although not required.
  • Experience working with software companies preferred, although not required.
  • CPA required.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and a desire to continue to develop knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month-end close process ensuring all tasks, reconciliations, and reports are done timely.
  • Perform month-end general ledger close activities including preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations for all areas.
  • Work through various technical accounting issues, including preparing memorandums and analysis to conclude on the appropriate accounting for our significant and complex transactions.
  • Document and implement policies and procedures to ensure that we account for the transactions correctly going forward.
  • Prepare and review disclosures for financial statements.
  • Prepare reports and analysis to be included in the monthly reporting package to be provided to Company executives.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local income tax returns both domestically and internationally.
  • Manage and outside technical advisors and/or other partners as appropriate.
  • Coordinate, review, and implement, tax planning strategies including transfer pricing, tax loss carry forwards, bonus depreciation, R&D credits, and other tax minimization strategies.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to all team members on the accounting team to help explain policies and appropriate accounting conclusions.
  • Continually assess our processes and procedures and implement changes to promote efficiency, with a primary focus on improved use of technology.
  • Work collaboratively with FP&A and others within the organization to assist in understanding our actual revenue as well as help provide guidance on revenue forecasting.
  • Work closely with auditors and throughout the year ensure that the quality of our accounting records is of audit level so that there are minimal requests and extra documentation needed from the auditors.
  • Assist in various special projects as they arise. Projects may involve the implementation of new systems, project accounting, creation of shared service centers, etc.
