Large banks, aspiring fintechs, and growing merchants embed our universal token vault into their technology stack to manage the complexities of payment data tokenization across processors and networks, open banking, card issuance, omnichannel loyalty, PCI compliance, payment orchestration, and more. We empower our clients and partners by tokenizing sensitive payment data, limiting compliance scope, and consolidating payments to unlock revenue and business opportunities.
VGS provides processor-agnostic tokenization solutions via secure universal token vaults, iframes, mobile SDKs, tokenization proxies, APIs, and data orchestration tooling to support payment acceptance, card issuance, PII and bank account tokenization, and other payments value-added services. Some of the use cases we enable include multi-processor Network Tokenization, Account Updater, payment orchestration, secure settlement file processing, 3DS, and Risk provider connectivity.
In this role, the Director of Account Management at VGS will fuel company retention and growth by leading high-performing teams of Account Managers to achieve and exceed revenue targets. The Director of AM is responsible for a global list of strategic existing clients and focuses on the growth of clients’ business by expanding usage of the VGS platform. You will leverage your strategic sales skills and savvy business acumen to create an analytical, data-driven approach to manage the teams’ pipelines, ensure accurate sales forecasts, mitigate churn/contraction and deliver net growth as forecasted.

What you will be doing at VGS...

  • Deliver revenue growth for VGS by engaging customers to adopt additional components of our platform (cross selling / up selling)
  • Exceed revenue objectives quarterly and annually through personal and team effort
  • Manage and develop relationships with existing Clients: work with Clients in a structured way, and have follow-up calls/meetings to ensure good relationship and their understanding of VGS
  • Proactively identify and mitigate customers at risk of contraction or churn
  • Proactively discuss with clients all VGS products and how they can be leveraged to solve their critical goals and objectives
  • Responsible for both current account management while upselling to target clients
  • Create business strategies to successfully achieve client business goals
  • Stay on top of current and emerging trends, unique opportunities, and challenges of the space/markets and geographies in which the clients operate, and how it affects client’s business and initiatives
  • Lead a team of Account Managers to consistently deliver on KPIs necessary to achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly renewal/growth sales goals.
  • Develop and implement retention and expansion customer strategies designed to inspire company growth via overachievement of sales targets
  • Constantly monitor market, competition, and customer/team feedback to iterate sales approaches and refine effective value propositions.
  • Implement best practices to ensure organizational efficiency, and provide training to facilitate Account Manager success.
  • Lead by example. Actively work deals with the team. Provide required support and remove obstacles allowing deals to close and convert to revenue quickly.
  • Support Account Managers with customer strategies, in managing and prioritizing their leads, activities, and overall book of business.

What we are looking for from you (Requirements)...

  • A consistent track record of achieving sales objectives and demonstrating planning and forecasting skills
  • Extensive experience in running client relationship management
  • Comfortable presenting technical SaaS-based solutions and upselling to clients
  • 7+ years of demonstrated success in developing and growing client relationships and leading Account Management teams
  • Proven ability to manage client engagements under high stress to successful completion
  • Prior success managing sales organizations within a rapidly evolving, hyper-growth environment. Ability to create and implement an appropriate amount of structure and discipline within a fluid environment
  • Superior leadership competencies. Exhibits a high degree of professionalism & integrity coupled with a strong work ethic, personal accountability, and demonstrated respect for others
  • Deep knowledge of Payments & Fintech
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel on an as-needed basis
